Under the revised Korean Trademark Act, effective from June 11, 2014, the Criteria eases the standard for acquired distinctiveness based on use. It is not necessary to prove that it is famous or well-known. Rather, it is sufficient to prove that the trademark is recognized as a particular person’s trademark among general consumers.
