An applicant must submit a Korean translation of the foreign language specification attached in the PCT International Patent Application within 31 months from the priority date.  However, for a PCT International patent application filed on or after January 1, 2015, the deadline for submitting a Korean translation of the foreign language specification can be extended one month more.
Therefore, if an applicant requests an extension of the deadline for submitting a Korean translation while entering the national phase into Korea within one month prior to the due date of the national phase entry, the deadline for submitting a Korean translation can be extended one month more, thereby allowing the submission of the Korean translation within 32 months.
