Korea has poor natural resources and high density of population in small territory. However, Korea has a comparatively high educational level and high internet spreading ratio. Mr. Myung-Shin Kim, Managing Partner of our firm, has a firm faith that intellectual property itself is a national competitiveness, intellectual property is only a survival policy of country in the future and that a real impact of intellectual property is originated from a combination between culture, art, science and technology. Mr. Kim led a legal campaign to enact the Intellectual Property Framework Act in Korea, in the name of a juristic entity “Intellectual Property Forum” approved by the Korean National Assembly in 2005. As a result of his active and continuous campaign, the Intellectual Property Framework Act was effective in Korea from July 20, 2011. The purport and contents of this Act are attached herewith. |
