The Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO) adopted International Classification according to the Locarno Agreement on July 1, 2014 (abolished the previous Korean Design Classification). However, under the Locarno International Classification, “graphic symbols and logos, surface patterns, ornamentation” in Int’l Cl. 32 are not included to the scope of protection according to Korean Design Protection Act.
