The "Intellectual Property Basic Law" bill that Mr. Myung-Shin Kim had promoted since 2005, passed the National Assembly on April 29, 2011 and has been in effect since July 20, 2011. Korean President, Myung-bak LEE appointed Mr Myung-Shin Kim, Chairperson of the Intellectual Property Forum, as a Member of the National Intellectual Property Committee.
