On October 25, 2021, Casey Kook-Chan An of Myung-Shin & Partners was appointed the Asian Patent Attorneys Association (APAA) Treasurer.

APAA is a representative association of patent attorneys in Asia, with 2,450 members from 24 countries, including Australia and New Zealand.

For the past three decades, Casey has actively worked as a Co-Chair of the APAA Patents Committee, an APAA delegate to the Standing Committee on the Law of Patents of the World Intellectual Property Organization, as well as other related positions. In addition, he also has led the APAA e-Newsletter team since its inception in 2016.

His appointment as APAA Treasure is expected to help advance the relationship between APAA and APAA Korea.
