Mr. Myung-Shin KIM, Managing Partner of our firm, has tried to make a better world through humanitarian service.

Since 1990, he has led an extensive medical service project for those who suffer from cataracts and other vision problems and live in poverty in Korea and overseas.

He has organized, overseen and funded, free of charge to patients, eye surgeries for patients, including those having hypertension or diabetes. These delicate surgeries inserted intraocular lenses in patients’ eyes so that they would no longer need to depend on wearing eyeglasses in places where eye care is very sporadic.

Though this service is costly in time and resources, Mr. Kim and his team have continued this project for 25 years and have thus far been able to provide successful surgeries to 4,129 people in Korea, China, Nepal and Myanmar.

In August 2014, he brought a medical team consisting of 14 people, including doctors, nurses and medical engineers, as well as 15 interpreters, 20 volunteers and all required medical equipment to Taungoo, Myanmar.

100 women and men received eye surgeries in Taungoo.

Mr. Kim plans to continue with this life-changing project throughout his life.
